Changes at Rock/WFWI (92.3fm, Fort Wayne): PD Keith Harris moves off-air. Taking his mid-day shift is Montana, who arrives from Minneapolis, where she did radio at then-Rock/WRQC in Minneapolis. Pat Thomas also moves to 7pm-12am. Thomas most recently was the local board operator for the Bob & Tom Show.

Afternoons are open at Urban/WJFX (107.9fm, New Haven/Fort Wayne) as Derek Jurand departs for Urban/WQQK in Nashville, Tennessee. If you're interested, contact us for information on where to send your tape & resume.

Country/WQLK (96.1fm, Richmond) increases its coverage from 50,000 watts at 350 feet to 50,000 watts at 492 feet.

WRTV (Channel 6, Indianapolis) weatherman Paul Poteet is now doing morning weather forecasts on some of the Indiana Radio Partners Stations: AC/WHTI & WHTY (96.7fm, Alexandria; 93.5fm, Hartford City, respectively), and Oldies/WURK & WERK (101.7fm, Elwood, 104.9fm, Muncie, respectively). Poteet can also be heard as a DJ on WHTI & WHTY, weekdays.

Also out of the Muncie area, the aforementioned stations (plus WHBU) are now in a new facility near Interstate 69 and Indiana 67.

Central

Long time farm broadcaster Lew Middleton departs News/Talk WIBC (1070am, Indianapolis) for a position at the Indiana Farm Bureau. There, Middleton will be Director of Communications. Keeping up with the consolidation trend, WIBC will obtain farm reports for co-owned AgriAmerica. AgriAmerica is a regional farm network, and will add a third person (at entry-level salary) to their staff, to accommodate Middleton's departure.

Bob & Tom add two new affiliates: Rock/WRKW (92.9fm, Poughkeepsie, New York) and Classic Rock/WWAV (102.1fm, Fort Walton Beach, Florida). Bob & Tom have disappeared, it seems from sister AM station WNDE in Indianapolis. According to WNDE's website, they now run the ESPN Morning Show.

Westcentral

PD Steve Smith moves from wakeups to mid-days at CHR/WMGI (100.7fm, Terre Haute). Replacing Smith is Oldies/WJPS (93.5fm, Chandler/Evansville) mid-day gal Ann Taylor.

Southwest

Jeremy Thompson is the new PD at Hot AC/WDKS (106.1fm, Newburgh/Evansville).

That's it for this issue! See you in two weeks...
