Today is the last day to file for 250-mile translator moves. The window closes at 5:59PM, Eastern Time.

Northcentral

In a story you'll first read about here, Educational Media Foundation's Christian AC/WQKV (88.7fm, Rochester) replaced their transmitter. On Friday morning (10/28), they began broadcasting with a new Nautel 7.5 LT transmitter. WQKV runs 15kW at 269 feet from a tower alongside IN-15, south of Warsaw.

Dream Weaver Marketing's WARU (1600am, Peru) breaks their simulcast with Soft AC/WARU-FM (101.9fm, Roann). 1600am becomes all holiday music, perhaps in preparation for a new format after the holidays.

Northwest

Friends of Christian Radio, Inc. sells the CP for translator W239CF (95.7fm, Albion, Michigan) for $38,000 to Lafayette TV, LLC. Once Lafayette TV closes on their purchase of the Artistic Media Partners' Lafayette radio stations, they will own FOX Sports affiliate WSHY (1410am, Lafayette).

Southwest

Sad news from Owensboro, Kentucky: Jeff Morgan, "Morgan in the Morning" at Cromwell's Rock/WXCM (97.1fm, Whitesville, Kentucky) passed away from a massive heart attack on Friday night at the age of 54.
