Northeast

ABC affiliate WPTA-TV's (Channel 21, Fort Wayne) went off the air on Sunday 15 August, due to a failed IOT tube. WPTA was off air from about 9am Sunday morning until mid-afternoon Monday (16 Aug). On Monday afternoon, the station returned to the air at about 50% power. WPTA was off the air overnight into Thursday morning (8/19) for repairs. It's now back at full power.

Northwest

With Hunter's departure as APD/PD at CHR/WAZY (96.5fm, Lafayette), Stephanie Patterson becomes APD/MD while retaining her Promotions Director duties. Update: Hunter left CHR/WAZY (96.5fm, Lafayette) for nights at WHZZ in Lansing, Michigan.

Central

Emmis Communications settles its indecency cases with the FCC by signing a consent decree. Emmis will make a voluntary contribution of $300,000 to the U.S. Treasury, and the FCC will end all indecency proceedings against the company. No word on how this will affect Emmis N-T/WIBC (1070am, Indianapolis)'s license renewal. The FCC hasn't approved the renewal - yet.

Contemporary Christian/WGRL (93.9fm, Fishers) flips calls to reflect its new "Song" moniker, chosing WISG ("Indianapolis' SonG")

With Daystar's recent $4 million purchase of Butler University's WTBU (Analog Channel 69/Digital Channel 44), IRW hears they're now WDTI, but we've seen no FCC acknowledgement - yet.

Susquehanna Indianapolis installs HD Pro Tools system in its production wing.

Jay Rio arrives at Rhythmic CHR/WHHH (96.3fm, Indianapolis) from afternoons at WGBT in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Southwest

Keith Allen exits as PD at CHR/WSTO (96.1fm, Owensboro, Kentucky) for Panama City, Florida and Director of Programming for WILN and WYYX, as well as Afternoons at WILN.
