iHeartMedia's Sports/WNDE (1260am, Indianapolis) adds translator W248AW (97.5fm, Indianapolis) and will add Rush Limbaugh on Monday.

Until this week, Mr. Limbaugh remained a mainstay of early afternoons on crosstown Emmis Communications' N-T/WIBC (93.1fm, Indianapolis). Mr. Limbaugh debuted on WIBC (then on 1070am) in the early 1990s. With WIBC ending their relationship with Mr. Limbaugh, they expand Dana Loesch from an hour to three hours (1pm until 4pm). Also, Greg Garrison moves to 11am until 1pm. A new show debuted "The 10 @ 10" with News Director Mike Wilson and Ray Steele. The hourlong show will showcase the top ten most interesting stories of the day.

Fort Wayne Catholic Radio Group sells its CP for translator W258BY (99.5fm, Fort Wayne) for $190,000 to Sarkes Tarzian. Last summer, FWCRG paid Northeast Indiana Public Radio $113,000 for the CP. Most presumably, FWCRG bought the translator to add FM listenership to its WLYV (1450am, Fort Wayne). However, last summer, Adams Radio Group exchange its 106.3fm, Columbia City class A frequency for WLYV.

Word Broadcasting Network's Sports/WVHI (1330am, Evansville) remains in format, but segues to the syndicated Yahoo! Sports Radio format, under GM Krista Denton.

Suzee Leavell becomes the GSM of Federated Media's Country/WQHK (105.1fm, Huntertown). No stranger to Federated Media, Ms. Leavell was a GSM at the former WFWI (now WOWO-FM) and at WQHK-FM.

Where Are They Now? Former WMGI Night jock and Production Director Ben Davis becomes OM of the Alpha Media radio station cluster in Louisville, Kentucky.

Today in Indiana Radio History

In 1929, Main Auto Supply has a tragic fire, which forced its WOWO off the air for about two days. WOWO moved across the street for several months during reconstruction. In 1948, 990am, Jasper signs on and remains WITZ to this day. In 1981, 97.1fm, Shelbyville became WENS.
