Northeast

Oasis Radio Group's Rhythmic CHR/WJFX (107.9fm, New Haven) PD/midday host Brooke Taylor exits for nights on the Radio Disney radio network. Before leaving, Ms. Taylor said goodbye to Fort Wayne.

Where Are They Now? Former WOWO and WKJG OM Dan Mandis becomes a full time talk show host at at WWTN-FM in Nashville, Tennessee, where he hosts a show from Noon until 3pm, Central Time.

Northcentral

Schurz Communications' CBS-affiliate WSBT-TV (Channel 22, South Bend) chief meteorologist Paul Emmick exits to start a voiceover career. Before arriving in South Bend last August, Mr. Emmick worked at E.W. Scripps' ABC affiliate WRTV-TV (Channel 6, Indianapolis), Louisville, Kentucky's WDRB-TV and Nexstar ABC affiliate WEHT-TV (Channel 25, Evansville), along with seven years at The Weather Channel.

Weigel Broadcasting's ABC affiliate WBND-LD (Channel 57, South Bend) reporter Jason Aubry exits and joins WGCL-TV in Atlanta, Georgia as a reporter.

Eastcentral

Hoosier Broadcasting Corp. sells its CP for translator W279CL (103.7fm, Anderson) to Woof Boom Radio for $22,172. Of note, Woof Boom owns News-Talk/WHBU (1240am, Anderson). If Woof Boom builds this 38 watt translator as the CP currently specifies, it will broadcast at nearly 200 feet up (Horizontal only), from the WQME (98.7fm, Anderson) tower, southeast of Pendleton.

Central

LIN Media's CBS affiliate WISH-TV (Channel 8, Indianapolis) adds several to their investigative team. Karen Hensel becomes chief investigative reporter. WISH-TV adds producer Doug Moon and photojournalist/editor Brett Bensley. Former Louisville, Kentucky (WDRB-TV) investigative reporter Bennett Haeberle moves to WISH-TV.

Charly Arnolt joins Tribune Broadcasting's FOX affiliate WXIN-TV (Channel 59, Indianapolis) as a sports reporter and anchor. Ms. Arnolt last worked at Tribune sister FOX affiliate WDAF-TV in Kansas City, Missouri.

Westcentral

Let's give an update on the former Contemporary Media radio stations: 640am, 1230am and 107.5fm.

640am: Birach Broadcasting received FCC approval to move the CP for 640am, Terre Haute to Peotone, Illinois, south of Chicago. Birach will shut off and surrender the license to their WMFN(AM) in Zeeland, Michigan (Grand Rapids market) to make this move happen.

1230am: Midwest Communications will pay $100,000 to Bott Broadcasting for WYGJ-CP (1230am, Terre Haute). Midwest will shut off and surrender the 1300am license (WBOW).

107.5fm: The 107.5fm will be a Class B non-commercial radio station. There are three applicants, and we're trying to determine the latest on a possible share-time agreement.

Southwest

Today, Jasper on the Air's AC/WITZ(AM) and WITZ-FM (990am, 104.7fm; both Jasper)will tear down their original 500 foot tower built in 1948 and put up a brand new tower. Construction should take about three weeks.

Also, IRW tips its hat to Business Manager Jeri Weisheit, who celebrated 40 years with WITZ Radio.

Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools receives a CP for its LPFM WJWS-LP (93.7fm, Jasper). The transmitter will be located at Jasper High School.
