Northcentral

After ten years as Vice President of Production at Michiana Public Broadcasting's PBS affiliate WNIT-TV (Channel 34, South Bend), Angel Hernandez began winding down his career. Mr. Hernandez won't totally retire, but will produce select projects. Also at WNIT, Gordy Young exits as host of "Experience Michiana." Mr. Young returns to his native Wisconsin and becomes an account executive for a radio station group. Tracy Morgan and Rick Hummer now host "Experience Michiana."

Steve Riggs with Hoosier AM/FM's Country/WCJC (99.3fm, Van Buren) earns a promotion to PD/Afternoons of sister AM/FM's Rock/WMYK (98.5fm, Peru).

Central

Radio One adds a Classic Hip Hop station via its WNOW-HD2 and translator W275BD (102.9fm, Greenfield). Radio One leases that translator from Indiana Community Radio Corporation. Here's their website: http://boomindy.com/ "Boom 102.9" also has Reach Media syndicated Ed Lover in morning drive.

Westcentral

Hoosier Broadcasting Corp. sells its W221CS (92.1fm, Crawfordsville) CP for $25,000 to C.V.L. Broadcasting. When built, this will be a 250 watt translator, as C.V.L. received FCC approval to increase power. Two brokers on this deal: Roehling Broadcast Services for Hoosier Broadcasting. Henson Media for C.V.L. Broadcasting.

Southwest

The Original Company's W246CD (97.1fm, Petersburg) files an FCC application to move city of license to Vincennes and increase power to 250 watts. W246CD will continue rebroadcasting N-T/WAOV (1450am, Vincennes).

This is a very enjoyable job but requires you to bring your best to the office every day. It is a job where no two days are alike and will be a job that is always evolving to meet the demands of each station's needs. Requires working on evenings and weekends as needed. Two to three years' experience and/or marketing degree preferred.
