Station History

WCSI(AM)

WCSI(AM) originally signed on in 1950 at 1010am with 250 watts (later 500 watts.) The call letters stand for "We Cover Southern Indiana." Syndicate Theaters, Inc. built and signed WCSI on the air. In 1957, Syndicate Theaters, Inc. sold WCSI to The Findlay Publishing Co. for $150,000. WCSI once had studios at 501 1/2 Washington St., Columbus, IN (Telephone: 372.4448). WCSI once aired the Mike Pence show.
