1450am signed on June 26, 1961.

WXVW(AM) (Take 1)

Originally owned by Electrocast, Inc. Mailing address was PO Box 354, Jeffersonville, IN (Telephone: Butler 3-3577, later 812-283-3577). Mutual Broadcasting Service affiliate. Call letters used from 1961 through 1997. On August 14, 1981, Electrocast, Inc. sold WXVW to Sunnyside Communications, Inc. Studios located at 213 Magnolia Ave., Jeffersonville, IN 47130-6402. Sunnyside Communications, Inc. flipped the call letters back to WAVG in July 1997. The format was big band, but WXVW switched to sports talk for awhile (then back to big band). Later, it aired an oldies format. Sunnyside Communications, Inc. 1997 when they sold the 970am frequency (then WAVG) and transferred the WAVG calls to 1450am.

WAVG(AM)

WAVG aired a Country and Western format. Studios located at 213 Magnolia Ave., Jeffersonville, IN 47130-6402. It then switched to a "classic hit country" format soon thereafter. In April 1998, Corum Enterprises sold WAVG to Sunnyside Communications for $134,200. The sale included sister stations WQKC-FM and WZZB(AM). WAVG was later purchased by Susquehanna Radio Corp. in March 2001.

WQKC(AM)

When 1450am gained call letters WQKC in 2008, they aired a Sports format ("Sports Radio 1450" then "ESPN 1450 The Ticket"). After Cumulus Media, Inc. did not find a buyer, 1450am went silent in August 2010. In September 2011, Susquehanna Radio Corp. sold WQKC for $265,000 to Ryan Media, LLC

WXVW(AM) (Take 2)

WQKC(AM) became WXVW(AM) in May 2013.
