Station History

860am signed on December 17, 1941. Owned by Henderson Broadcasting Company. Studios located on Zion Road. Originally only a daytimer, but they added night power in the 1980s; the first radio station to apply for a directional pattern. Formerly owned by Henry G. Lackey. Once ran a standards format (ABC "Stardust" format). In September 2011, the FM simulcast on translator W243CU began.
