If your colleagues haven't received Indiana RadioWatch lately, have them e-mail me. I've deleted about fifty e-mail addresses from the list since I started this again about a month ago.

Also, we're seeking information on "WROC 94.3fm Rock Radio in Northwest Muncie." We're guessing it's what is now WREB (Greencastle). E-mail us at irw@well.com with whatever information you have. Thank you!

Finally, this is a short issue, but we'll be back next weekend with all the latest news, plus details on a possible northwest Indiana radio station sale.

Now, onto the latest news...

Northeast

This position keeps her in charge of programming at WNDV, WZOW, and WWLV, and adds responsibility for Hot AC/WAZY (96.5fm, Lafayette) and Hot AC/WBWB (96.7fm, Bloomington). Also, she will give up her midday shift at "U-93."

Northwest

Radio and Records reports that Hot AC/WAZY (96.5fm, Lafayette) PD J.J. Davis exits this Friday due to corporate restructuring.

Updating our 27 September story about WIBN, APD Ken Stapleton tells IRW that the station is now back to operating at full power.

An IRW reader reports that "Lite Rock B102.7" has RJ in mornings. RJ is the former morning man at Hot AC/WWSY (95.9fm, Seelyville.)

Genie Garner, News Director at WTHI-TV (Channel 10, Terre Haute [CBS]) exits.

Where Are They Now? Angela Baines, former morning co-host (along with Steve Smith) at CHR/WMGI (100.7fm, Terre Haute) is now with the Marketing Department at Digital Audio Disc Corporation. Also, congratulations to her and her new husband on their recent nuptials.

On 1 October, WAMW (AM) (1580am, Washington) flips formats from Salem Radio Network's "Solid Gospel" to their "Today's Christian Music" format. They keep "The Derry Brownfield Show" (10am - 11am) and add Salem's "Janet Parshall's America" from 2pm - 4pm.

Employment Opportunities

Newstalk 1190 WOWO is looking for a part-time news reporter/weekend anchor. The qualified candidate will have a high energy level, a taste for early morning hours and the flexibility to help fill-in for our fulltime news staff during vacations and illnesses. Radio experience is a must - news experience preferred but we will train the right person in the day-to-day skills of news reporting. Familiarity with News Ready and Cool Edit would be a plus. Please forward your tape, resume and samples of your script writing ASAP to:
