Where Are They Now? Former CHR/WLBC (104.1fm, Muncie) overnight guy Chris Green is now pulling down afternoons at WTGR (97.5fm, Union City, Ohio).

CHR/WZPL (99.5fm, Greenfield) promotes Kari Johll to Assistant Director for Programming and Promotions, effective today. Johnn will remain primarily in the Promotions Department, with added responsibilities in the Listener Services Department, specifically her role as Listener Services Coordinator. She'll also have some responsibilities with programming (music research, scheduling weekends, promos), and music (assisting PD Scott Sands and MD Dave Decker with record labels).

Obituaries

Condolences to the family & friends of Victor H. Sterling who passed away on August 1. According to Andrea Mettert's article in The Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette, Sterling's TV stops included WANE-TV and WPTA-TV (where he was GM) in Fort Wayne, WEHT-TV in Evansville, and KWBY in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In Radio, he worked in the early 1950's at WIOU (1350am, Kokomo), WTOM/WTTS (Bloomington), and WSAL(AM) (1230am, Logansport). In 1969, he left WPTA-TV to join WLYV (1450am, Fort Wayne) to do sales, announcing, and some management duties. He retired from WLYV in 1973. Surviving Mr. Sterling are two daughters, three sons, a sister, three brothers, as well as several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
