Indiana RadioWatch: August 21, 2017
After 12 years with Federated Media's Country/WQHK-FM (105.1fm, Huntertown), PD/Midayer Dave Michaels exits that role. Mr. Michaels previously voicetracked afternoons at Talking Stick Communications' Country/WAWC (103.5fm, Syracuse), but will now do that airshift live. Mr. Michaels began programming "K-105" in February 2013. Succeeding Mr. Michaels in the "K-105" PD chair will be Federated Media sister CHR/WMEE (97.3fm, Fort Wayne) PD Jimmy Knight. With Mr. Knight now programming two radio stations, he will hand off his midday air shift at "97.3 WMEE" to weekender Dan (on an interim basis).
The new K-105 weekday on air schedule: Dan Austin, Dude Walker and Kylie Havens from 6am until 10am. Ms. Havens remains on until Noon, and Aricka McCauley takes Noon until 6pm.
Where Are They Now? Former then-WGRL/Indianapolis DJ Chris Clare becomes the new PD of WNNF in Cincinnati, Ohio.
DLC Media welcomes Tyler Davis as their News Director. Mr. Davis recently graduated from Indiana State University. DLC Media has five Terre Haute area radio stations.
That's all for this issue. Thank you for your continued support.
