We published our first employment opportunity below.

Northeast

According to AllAccess, "Slammin' Sammy Suarez" is now Production Director & overnights at Urban/WJFX (107.9fm, New Haven).

Northwest

Oldies/WNJY (102.9fm, Delphi) flips formats to CHR and calls to WXXB. According to Max Showalter's article in The Lafayette Journal and Courier, the format change occurred at 3pm on Saturday 16 June 2001. Now automated, the station will add an airstaff soon. Although the FCC hasn't updated their records yet, we can tell you from the Journal and Courier article that they are now transmitting from a new facility northeast of Lafayette, near Bear Creek.

The CP for CSN's station in Hanna is modified from 25,000 watts at 190 feet to 8000 watts at 505 feet. The proposed transmitter site near the intersection of US 30 & US 421 in Wanatah remains the same.

Employment Opportunities

Emmis WTHI-FM in Terre Haute has an opening for a midday air talent. Shift should open up by the end of July. Airshift, production, remotes and appearances. Country format and Scott Studios experience desirable. Resume's to Barry Kent.

That's it for this issue. See you in a week!
