Northeast
After 14 years at CHR/WMEE (97.3fm, Fort Wayne), the last 2 as PD,
"Captain" Chris Didier departs the heritage CHR for Oldies/WLDE (101.7fm,
Fort Wayne). There, he'll do afternoons.
Meanwhile, back at WMEE, no announcement has been made yet about a new PD.
One other unrelated development tho. WMEE adds SuperRadio's "Open House
Party with John Garabedian" on Saturday and Sunday nights.
Rock/WBYR (98.9fm, Van Wert, Ohio) morning show producer "Psycho" Joel
Haas departs.
Over on the TV side, WINM (Channel 63, Angola) files a DTV Maximation
Amendment with the FCC. They'll be doing their DTV transmissions on
Channel 12.
Northcentral
The FCC filings showed a sale of AC/WLRX (95.7fm, Nappannee) to Talking
Stick Communications. We've not heard of them, so if you know something,
please let us know.
Congrats to John Dille, presdient and CEO of Pathfinder Communications, on
being elected Vice Chairman of the Radio Board for the National
Association of Broadcasters (NAB).
Congrats also to Mike Shannon, morning man at Oldies/WGTO (910am,
Cassopolis, Michigan). Shannon recently celebrated his 15th year in the
South Bend market. Shannon's stops in South Bend include WRBR, and
WHLY/WJVA.
Eastcentral
Holly Johnson, morning co-host at Country/WMDH (102.5fm, New Castle) adds
afternoon drive duties at Metro Networks in Indianapolis. Johnson
replaces Robin Collins who departs for news director duties at AC/WGLM
(106.7fm, West Lafayette).
Central
CHR/WZPL (99.5fm, Greenfield) night guy Ted Striker departs for sunny
Florida. There, he'll be PD & mornings at CHR/WILN in Panama City.
