Indiana RadioWatch: May 13, 2005
First, A shorter issue this week as we're working on a few bigger stories. Second, no interview, as nobody returned an e-mail. Finally, the best day
to reach us on the phone is Friday, so keep that in mind. If you need the number, drop us an e-mail.
Now, onto the news...
Where Are They Now? Former Rock/WAOR (95.3fm, Niles, Michigan) PD/morning host Kevin Redding is now in afternoon drive at WROR-FM in Boston, Massachusetts.
Some were surprised by this week's announcement that Emmis Communications will sell its TV division. Emmis owns sixteen television stations nationwide, but its only Hoosier holding is CBS affiliate WTHI-TV (Channel 10, Terre Haute). Emmis entered the world of "radio with pictures" in 1998.
Where Are They Now? Former then-oldies/WGLD (104.5fm, Indianapolis) afternoon man Scott Roddy is now doing fill-in work at Emmis' Soft AC/WYXB (105.7fm, Indianapolis).
Imaging + Night guy Patrick Mashburn ("Dodger") exits South Central's Classic Rock/WABX (107.5fm, Evansville) for imaging duties at WLZR in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
That's it for this issue. See you in a week!
